Why leave now?

Shirley Porter thinks "Now is the time to leave Iraq," August 22, 2005
On Aug. 17, my husband and I joined 300 or more people on lower Broad Street in Nevada City in support of Cindy Sheehan's efforts toward peace in Iraq. More and more people around the country are waking up to the dreadful mistake of going to war in the first place.

Please support this growing effort in whatever way that you can to show President Bush that it is time to get out now.
Yes, this would be a great time to leave acording to the left. The Iraq constitution is in the final stages and the national election is on schedule. If we leave now, Sheehan and her fellow travelers, can say, we defeated Bush.

What would we achieve by leaving now? Turn Iraq over to the militant terrorists, provide them with oil money, to continue their world wide campaign to eliminate infidels, like Shirley Porter. She is incapable of looking beyond Iraq to the larger global war on terror.

We will soon see a huge backlash against, Cindy Sheehan an ardent anti-war activist long before her son was killed in Iraq.

The global war on terror? All I have to consider is that BUSH, ET AL have no better luck than they do with the war on drugs--specifically, with meth. IF we're NOT UNDER CONSIDERABLE "attack" from that by-product of the "do them, don't let them do you" mentality (that pervades BOTH left and right), then is meth just another "drug of choice"? Which "religious endeavor/freedom movement" that authorizes murder are you forced to follow? It would seem to depend on the country you live in---the "degree of terror" that's acceptable determined by what THE GOVERNMENT (NOT "IT'S PEOPLE") needs or wants. War: ravaging effect of drugs, ravaging effect of religion or ravaging effect of terrorism? Looks like (OUR) COUNTRY chooses to USE the worst of all three elements in it's promotion of WAR. And yes, all three are in play--have been for many years--and AS NEEDED. War on terror? If there WERE SUCH A THING, you'd THINK it would BEGIN AT HOME! Instead, we remain a "doped" culture following the whims of the moneyed, the lies they get by with telling, and as they empire build. George the Idiot Puppet, has certainly made THAT ever so much more obvious than even Clinton the Sexcapades Puppet could.

Aside from the obvious fact that the Iraq assault INCREASED terror and WMD proliferation, one has to question: The Iraq constitution? You mean, the one that will put a modicum of dignity on blatant American rule, military bases remaining there in violation of the will of the people, oil plundering and economic control by American corporations, etc.? If our history with Saddam Hussein is any indication (support both before and after the Gulf War), I'd say we need to stop "helping" Iraq. No one gave us the right to be there in the first place, especially not the 100,000 innocent victims of empire.

Obivious facts? Help me out here. Saddam killed 300-400,000 people, and they are still finding mass graves. Saddam used MNDs on his own people. The Lancet study of 100,000 casulaities has been discredited.

How has terror increased? How have WMDs proliferated? It is not that obvious! Facts please.
